I MIGHT be having a problem.

Two things are occurring that have just started in the last week abd a half.

1. I'm receiving a ton of hits on port: 24576 in ZA

2. I can no longer get to the Virustotal Website Virus Total Website

3. I assumed that Verizon was blocking it for some reason, because there is a Verizon Logo at top right of the page I get redirected to.

4. I contacted Verizon tech support and they said they block NO sites at all. Their Network Tech ran some tests and called me back and

said, that they had recently added a "range" of IP addresses and Mine was one of them, and that Virustotal was blocking the new IP

addresses. They said they would Email Virustotal and explain the problem and give them MY email address so they could inform me

when/if this issues is resolved.

5. This problem ONLY seems to affect Verizon FIOS customers.

6. None of my security software or cleaners show any problems what so ever. I also ran the ESET Offline Scanner with zero flags.

7. I'm assuming this will either take a few days/weeks to fix or that I have a problem, that is very hidden....all other websites are fine.

8. www.grc.com ShieldsUp show the first 1056 ports totally stealthed...passed 100%

Summary:

Either this is malware/infection or Verizon is correct and soon...it will be resolved. Either way, I decided to post sooner than later, here, in case anyone sees something here that merits immediate attention.

Thx in advance :)

Hi,

I don't think the problem is malware related, but lets take a closer look:

Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 2

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. Here is a guide on how to disable them:
    Click me
If you can't disable them then just continue on.
  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt log in your next reply.
