CD/DVD Drive not working

I recently had a virus removed from my computer. One of the methods involved using Defogger. It turned off my CD emulators. When I completed the process of malware removal, I followed the instructions to turn on the emulators.

Now, when I put a DVD, blank or loaded, my computer won't recognize anything. It tells me to insert a disk into that drive.

Go to the manufacturers Website, and pick up a set of new firmware, or drivers for the drive, and then reinstall them over the old ones. Look at the Device Manager & see CD/DVD & Properties.

Hi! My CD drive would not read a CD. I used a tool called Microsoft Fix it. It is a fairly new tool, still in Beta. It worked for me. It's a little buggy, but it got the job done.

Hi ! Here is screen shot of Microsoft Fix it.I think this is what AdvancedSetup is talking about, but I'm not sure of that. It worked for me.

This is what Microsoft fixed for me on my CD dive. It works great now.
