malwarebytes wont run or update after install

ok. I have spent 3 hrs researching every article and doing just about all that was asked to do. I have installed malwarebytes onto a cd, renamed the file 3 different ways and installed it on the infected computer with no avail........I am not getting any of the random displays like security this or error mesg, ANYTHING WILL HELP....

This sounds like you are trying to install onto a computer that cannot access the internet ?????

If you have already installed the program in some way then you will need to fully Uninstall it prior to any more steps -

• Click on Start and select Control Panel
  
• Open Add/Remove Programs
  
• Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  
• Restart your computer very important !
  

You will first need run the MBAMclean.exe after you uninstall it and this will also reboot your system -

Then please post back with your Operating system , plus any installed Antivirus and Firewall -

Then we may have an easier solution for you -
