Recent Scan uncovered "Bad" maLware"

Recommended Posts

:) Today I ran your Malwarebytes software to help find a "problem suspect". I received the report, Registry Data Items Infected 2....HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusDisableNotify(Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1)

And same location .....\FirewallDisableNotify(Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1) Both were Quarantined and I deleted them successfully

My question is "Bad" What does that mean. Some Malware software indicate "Cookies" or Medium or some other indicator of severity. I was wondering what the above "Bad" meant?? Thanks for your help!

Hello and :)

In that scan, if you like post the log file and we can look it over here, but it seems that its ok cause some Anti-virus software or firewall software makes those changes.

THANKS FOR PROMPT RESPONSE I PRINTED OUT THE REPORT HOWEVER DIDN'T COPY IT TO MY fLASH DRIVE. IT'S AT THE OFFICE AND I AM AT HOME BEFORE BIG GAME TONIGHT AT SUPERDOME "SAINTS AND THE OTHER GUYS" YOU KNOW!

ps YOUR SOFTWARE SHOWED A "GREEN BUG" AND LISTED IT UNDER REGISTRY DATA INFECTED: 2 ????? IS THERE ANYWHERE ON YOUR SITE I CAN LEARN MORE ??

you should be OK, you can always run another scan tomorrow and see if you get an all clear.

As for learning more, just hanging around here and reading in most sections of the forum you can learn a lot....

Also don't hesitate to ask questions, folks around here are eager to share their knowledge.
