Virus Protection

Attention malwarebytes! Please review the following:

Please consider introducing virus protection (worms trojans macros etc.) in the next build in order to save on resources and money. I really love you guys and all that you do, however I think that you could improve the next build by introducing this enhanced protection somehow.

Hi skynet and welcome to malwarebytes.

The next build is already in progress so this won't happen. I don't think Malwarebytes' is trained for antivirus development as they are two different subjects. It would take several builds for that too happen. Plus they would probably make a news announcement on it and ask for user opinions before starting development. Most people prefer the complementary it provides rather then the full deal.

Virus prevention and virus removal are not the same thing. Malwarebytes already blocks viruses both through IP blocking (any kind of threat) and definitions (executable files only).

As far as virus removal goes, we do not have plans for this at this time.
