constantly blocking websites?

So why does Malwarebytes constantly block websites? Every few minutes the bubble pops up telling me that it has blocked access to a potentially malicious website and tells me the IP address which is cool, but why or how are those websited even trying to gain access? All my cookeis and temp files are empty. I don't get it.
