greenred Posted September 7, 2010 ID:310490 Share Posted September 7, 2010 I recently installed Malwarebytes the full version. I have been using the free version in conjuntion with McAfee. I scan my system with both programs at lease once a day and have never had any problems found. After I upgraded Malwarebytes to the full version the IP blocker started popping up telling me IP's are being blocked.I scanned my system and it showed no issues. I then reformated my sytem to Factory Image just to be safe. The first thing I did was install both Malwarbytes and McAfee. Before I had ever opened any web browser the IP blocker started telling me IP's were being blocked. Does the IP blocker block inbound IP's?Is that what I am seeing?I am at a loss as to what the problem isI looked at the blocked IP logs and they are out of china. I find this really upsetting. noknojon Posted September 8, 2010 ID:311213 Share Posted September 8, 2010 Before I had ever opened any web browser the IP blocker started telling me IP's were being blocked. Does the IP blocker block inbound IP's?It sounds like there are several items installed that Malwarebytes is not "happy" with - Please add these exclusions to your McAfee and any Firewall/Web filter included -For Windows Vista or Windows 7:C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exeC:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exeC:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exeC:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\zlib.dllC:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dllC:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dllC:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.refC:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sysC:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sysFor 64 bit versions of Windows Vista or Windows 7:C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exeC:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exeC:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exeC:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\zlib.dllC:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dllC:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dllC:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.refC:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sysC:\Windows\SysWoW64\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sysNote: If using a software firewall besides the built in Windows Firewall you'll need to exclude MBAM.EXE from it as wellNote: Once that's done, please make sure that if either of those programs has any sort of web filter, that you add the following as a trusted site: data-cdn.mbamupdates.comThen disable your McAfee for 5 mins (No need to browse the web at that time) and see if you still have this problem -Thank You -
Promeneur Posted September 13, 2010 ID:313170 Share Posted September 13, 2010 Well, I have near the same problem. My registered version - updated - of Malwarebytes keeps blocking IP adresses, and I do not know where is the problem.I have a p2p software installed, but not running. Malwarebytes, with full scan, says the pc is clean, so says BitDefender 2011. But I still get a lot of warnings.203.93.209.114 actuallyI would welcome any help, thank you.Richard
Haider Posted September 13, 2010 ID:313182 Share Posted September 13, 2010 Hello Promeneur: Please start your own thread, so things should not get mixed up between you and greenred (the topic starter). P2P programs mostly don't require user intervention i.e. they run silently in the background
