nosirrah Posted September 8, 2008 ID:27148 Share Posted September 8, 2008 Bad: ("%1" %*) Good: ("%1" /S)There was a glitch in the way we corrected this key in the past , this undoes that . The glitch would not cause any problems which is why no one had a bug report for it .The value being set today is the value that MS installs when you install windows .This is not actually fixing a problem , only setting a value exactly the way it would be set when windows is installed . Sunshine Posted September 8, 2008 ID:27189 Share Posted September 8, 2008 I think I have a really dumb question but I really want to know the answer. I have the fastest DSL you can get and my QUICK Scan takes atleast 45 minutes......but everyone elses at the most I have seen is 15 minutes...what the crap. So unfair can someone help on that issue. nosirrah Posted September 8, 2008 ID:27190 Share Posted September 8, 2008 I have the same problem......so its not hurting anything right? Or did I read wrong? Correct , all this is , is us correcting a minor glitch .The glitch has no symptoms and does not actually affect anything , we are just getting data set exactly the way MS sets it . DSL has nothing to do with quick scan . DSL is how fast your PC can talk to the web . You system's power compared to system load and installed components determines the speed of our quick scan .If you did a temp file cleanup first it should help as MBAM will have less to scan . Raid Posted September 8, 2008 ID:27196 Share Posted September 8, 2008 hello, what is wrong with the last update version? everybody has same infected key. How come the forum is so slowly? It's simply correcting a registry key back to the way it would be when MS loaded windows.
MarkAW Posted September 8, 2008 ID:27200 Share Posted September 8, 2008 Just installed the update and ran a quick scan. Everythhing seems ok, just that it takes 4 seconds before the scan starts and then another 3 seconds after scan on registry is done before scanning of infected files, folders and miscellaneous objects. This may be a minor thing but scans were smoother in the previous version.Windows XP Home SP3, Windows XP Pro SP3Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.27Database version: 1130Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 39/8/2008 12:31:43 PMmbam-log-2008-09-08 (12-31-43).txtScan type: Quick ScanObjects scanned: 41603Time elapsed: 3 minute(s), 12 second(s)Memory Processes Infected: 0Memory Modules Infected: 0Registry Keys Infected: 0Registry Values Infected: 0Registry Data Items Infected: 0Folders Infected: 0Files Infected: 0Memory Processes Infected:(No malicious items detected)Memory Modules Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Keys Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Values Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Data Items Infected:(No malicious items detected)Folders Infected:(No malicious items detected)Files Infected:(No malicious items detected)
