mwb anti-malware closes after a quick scan

I downloaded and installed MWB anti-malware yesterday to a computer that is known to be infected with the antivirus trojan...after the quick scan I clicked OK to view results and the program just completely closed...seeing i had 220+ "infected items", i purchased a license for MWB anti-malware...re-opened the program, entered my product and license keys, then turned on realtime protection.

I then restart the quick scan...again, 220+ infected items..."click OK to review results"...click OK, but again the program completely shuts down immediately.

machine is XP (sp 3) running PC Tools Antivirus and windows default firewall.

any advice is appreciated...thx,

The malware may be preventing you from successfully finishing and seeing the results of your scan Sounds like you are likely badly infected since 220+ items were found.

Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.
