A few days ago,my laptop keyboard started acting up. Double entry when pressed, some keys not working... i blamed it on the kids and thought they spilled something on it so i took all the keys off and cleaned them. No dice. So i reinstalled the keyboard drivers and it worked for a few hours then went haywire again. So i bought a new standalone keyboard to get me through a few days and it had the same issues. right now the number four and six keys as well as the space bar aren't working.

I'm curious how you know this is not a malware issue. i thought it was hardware too until i plugged an external keyboard in and had the exact same issues.

You would be experiencing symptoms of infection if you were infected. No infection that I know of disables 3 keys on your keyboard.

Run this:

Next, download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run. When it has run two logs will be produced, please post the one that is not minimized.
