darkdayze Posted August 23, 2010 ID:304220 Share Posted August 23, 2010 I know I've read on the forums about the whole commercial use thing. I've been thinking about starting a business and want to use malwarebytes as a "tool" for any number of technicians. Now of course, I wanna be legal about the whole thing and my collegues are having fusses about what would happen if we were to use the software for a while until we get an answer from corporate (at) malwarebytes (dot) org.We want to pay for the licensing, but what happens if we don't hear back? How much trouble would we be in if we were to use it during the time we are waiting for a response. We think highly of this software, otherwise, I wouldn't be trying to do things legal. I mean, we have no idea how much it is and all that. We are thinking of starting a small business with this wonderful piece of software in our arsenal. So that's our dillemma. We are afraid to use it while we hear an answer back and if we can't afford it (which I'm hoping it's also affordable), then we'll just stop using it for that pupose. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.Darkdayze
noknojon Posted August 24, 2010 ID:304286 Share Posted August 24, 2010 Welcome Darkdayze -The technicians license is available but please make sure you apply the right way -Never apply with a "sign on" name (like Darkdayze) , only ever list a real contact in the company for the reply -Never use a Yahoo / Hot Mail / G mail type of account in any application - Always use only your Company email -Please be patient at the moment as we are being hit with a very large amount of applications for company setups -In the EULA it states that the program is only free to Home users , or sales to Home users at the listed rates -Thank You -
darkdayze Posted August 24, 2010 Author ID:304332 Share Posted August 24, 2010 ok, no problem. The one question still remains...we understand you may be getting hit with tons of requests, however, if we happen to have any customers in the meantime, would it be ok to use it till then. Lets say we get someone in all the while we are waiting for a proper response. Am I making sense? We do love malwarebytes and it's an honor and privilidge to use fine piece of software. Heck, I have it myself...and no worries, you'll get an e-mail from my proper e-mail, just that I wanted to know what could or if anything can happen in the meantime. Thanks. Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted August 24, 2010 Root Admin ID:304354 Share Posted August 24, 2010 Submit a request here for the Technicians License and how many Techs you have and they should get back to you with a price within a couple days at most. If you've not heard back then send me a private message and I'll see what's going on. Make sure you also add malwarebytes.org and salesforce.com to your safe mail list so it doesn't get sent to your spam/junk folder.http://www.malwarebytes.org/corporate.php
