What firewall will work best with Malwarebytes?

hmmm, i dont know. zone alarm? i saw a review of zone alarm firewall, and it almost blocked every singly threat! im not sure if its good with avira or MBAM, but its a pretty good firewall.

I have used Zone Alarm before and it is very good but, are there any other free firewalls out there?

There is a firewall called Windows Firewall which comes built in with Windows XP SP2/SP3 Vista SP1/SP2 and Windows 7

With using MSE as an A/Virus , I find that Windows is as good as any other firewall program now -

Why overload your system with un needed stuff if it is there now ------

If you're using Windows Vista or Windows 7 you can enhance the built in firewall greatly by using the free version of Windows 7 Firewall Control .

It enables outbound blocking and also gives you a notification when a program is blocked which lets you allow or block the program from accessing the internet.

I second that. A powerful enterprise based firewall for free. Not a bad deal. However, if you don't know much about computers, you may find the alerts to be troublesome.

I thought that the built in firewall in Vista and 7 already blocked outbound? Maybe I'm mistaken though.

Nope, by default it's off, and if you turn it on, you'll have to create custom rules using its cumbersome interface for each program you want to let out as it does not provide any prompts or notifications when a program is blocked, that's why Vista/7 Firewall Control was created (and their now discontinued B-Wall which was for the XP firewall).
