Version 1.26

  • Root Admin

Version 1.26 (September 2nd, 2008)

1. (FIXED) Problem repairing certain registry keys.

2. (FIXED) Converted log file names to ISO standard.

3. (FIXED) False positives on limited user accounts.

4. (ADDED) Safeguard to prevent users from losing scan results.

5. (ADDED) Brand new header logo.

Note: This was an emergency release. I planned to incorporate a lot of cool new features into this version, however, a large bug became apparent in the code. I apologize to anyone I made promises about new features, but I plan to incorporate them soon. The new protection module is on its way as well!

And MBAM does indeed seem to getting faster and faster at scanning. It's so fast it's actually being a bit suspicious. ;)

Problem with fresh install, not updating...

I'm on WinXP Pro SP3

There is a bug in the main interface: the 'Exit' button display, I can't see the last letter, I only see: 'Exi', same for the french translation where I see 'Quitte' and not what it should be: 'Quitter', the translations files are OK, but it's not displaying right in the main interface, I do not know why but with spanish, it work well and I see the 'Salir', but not with the french and English translation...

quitteux1.jpg for 'Quitter'

exizo4.jpg for 'Exit'

salirun0.jpg : good one

testjt9.jpg : Test Protection and Register?

acheterjc6.jpg : Tester la Protection and, Acheter

restzc6.jpg : Restaure and Restaure All

restoit3.jpg : Restaurer and Tout restaurer

I dunno why one appear correctly and not the second...

signalerunfauxpositifrh9.th.jpg : the third button: 'Signaler un' , it's should be: 'Signaler un faux-positif'.

I'm a new user, I've installed the 1.25 version on my desktop computer, and done the update and all was fine, but on my laptop, it was a fresh install, so I will try to uninstall the prog on my desktop (delleting all files and reg keys) and install as if it was a fresh install...

Installed and updated through internal updater, though not totally without error.

It took a good 10mins to update the DB through It-mate (normally takes seconds), throwing up this error code: 706 (0, 9)

I managed to update it though and everything seems fine now.

I will be looking into the problem with the language files. Has this ever happened before or are you a new user?

I now know why it to that on my laptop and not with my desktop.

I've uninstalled the soft on my desktop using revo uninstaller... and installed as a fresh install and all worked great... I've done that 3 times with my laptop but without changes...

So I've considered what was different in my laptop... and I found... the visual style, on my desktop its the one by default, but with my laptop I use another one : Watercolor Emico: Ergo Blue, I've tried switching to the default visual style for XP and it worked, no more problems with the button, but why does that do that with only this style?

It does not happen with any other soft with button (like ccleaner ...)

Is that because it's like that:

watercoloryf1.jpg

And not like that:

hi all,

would like to express my many thanks to malwarebytes developers and team.

this piece of software is very exciting and promising to use.

a few things i like about ver 1.26:

1) the new logo look

2) noticed the faster scanning speed packaged into this ver.

hope there will be more exciting features implemented in the near future.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it yet, but the EXIT button on the bottom right of the software says EXI ;)

Try seeing my post.

Do you use a visual style on your computer? what version of windows?

If you use a visual style, try switching with the windows visual style by default, and the interface should be fine just doing that.
