Error 'Subscript out of range' when I run Malwarebytes

Recommended Posts

Hi,

could someone please help on why I receive errors

everytime I run malwarebytes (version 1.25), I receive error

'runtime error 9, subscript out of range'.

I am able to update ok but it fails when I try to scan.

I am running Windows Server 2003 R2.

Thanks

During what part of the scan does the error occur? During the memory scan, registry scan, etc ...

I perform a quick scan, details are,

Scan in progress

Enumerating registry objects prior to scan

Objects scanned: 1128

Objects infected:10

Time elapsed: 5 seconds

Currently scanning:

c:\windows\system32\shell.dll

Then receive error 'Run-time error '9'. Subscript out of range'

Prior I did have a virus on the system Antivirus 2008 & 2009.

I have used Ad-Aware 2007, XoftSpySE, Spybot Search & Destroy and

Registry Mechanic.

I have scaned several times with these programs and the result is '0' infected files.

When I try to use Malware, I receive the run-time error.

This seems to be an older thread, but I downloaded the free version just today (1/7/09) onto a laptop , and the install went ok. but first time I went to run I got this same error. The scan starts, does about 1014 objects and then I get the

Run time error '9':

Subscript out of range.

It is version 1.32 and it says the software is up to date.

I have rebooted. And have also rebooted a second time into SAFE MODE. It has happened all 3 times. Same spot - 1014 objects.

Any help on this?
