MBAM freezes 5 seconds into a scan

Use XP SP3 with Norton Security Suite 2010 and when I try to scan, it freezes the computer at 5 seconds.

It will scan in SAFE mode.

I use MBAM with Norton Security Suite 2010 on my 2 other computers that are running Vista without any issues.

I have already tried to uninstall and ran the MBAM-Clean file. I ran a full disk check as well. Then re-installed and updated with latest version and definitions, it still freezes at exactly 5 seconds.

obviously when I saw it freezes above, it freezes at 5 seconds into the MBAM scan.

I have also added exclusions in Norton as per the FAQ for Norton 360 in the sticky note above. I did not do that with my Vista computers

Just to be sure, that you have excluded all the right files....

Please exclude the following files from your antivirus:

Note: Once that's done, please make sure that if either of those programs has any sort of web filter, that you add the following as a trusted site:

data-cdn.mbamupdates.com
