Scanning remote files on a server

Recommended Posts

I purchased Malwarebytes and absolutely love it! I have had a couple people tell me that when they visit one of my websites their scanning software shows malware. I have recently changed the site to eliminate spry tabbed panels and iframes to help with keeping malware hackers from exploiting the site. The site is nearly all flash-based now. The bug that has been reported as being found when they reach my site is "mal-hifrm-2". Is there a way I can use Malwarebytes to scan the files on my remote server? Thanks!

John

  • Root Admin

Are you running a Windows file server or Linux? Do you have FULL Admin rights to the entire drive?

If you don't have full admin rights then it won't be of much value to even try to scan it. If you do have full admin rights then it would be best to install it and update it, then do a Quick Scan of the system.
