Virus/Malware Problem

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have been having problems with my laptop during the past week or so. I ran a virus check (McAfee) and a malware check (Malwarebytes), both of which found viruses/trojans. I followed the instructions to delete these, but the problem hasn't gone away. I ran another set of checks and a number of problems were picked up again. It seems that each time I say to delete the viruses/trojans, they just reappear each time I restart my laptop. The main problem is that a number of websites randomly pop-up (i.e. gomeo.co.uk) even though I don't click on them. Each time I start-up my laptop, I also receive error messages saying: "Error loading C:\windows\ipepediwihe.dll" and "Error loading C:\windows\asvemsn1.dll". I also have ad-aware/Ad-watch live running and keep being informed that "svchost.exe" is trying to connect to a malicious website.

I would be very very grateful if someone could guide me through what I need to do to get rid of these problems. Thanks in advance for the help.

Regards

Chris
