I keep getting this on screen

Recommended Posts

First I must admit I am a novice when it comes to computers , and I am still learning , So I am hoping you guy's here can kindly offer me some advice , I have a notebook running Windows 7 Professional and recently installed Malwarebytes Anti Malware V. 1.46 which has been running fine . I then decided to download and try Internet Download Manager ( IDM ) but after trying in I decided it was not for me, so I uninstalled it using Revo uninstaller. Soon after I had uninstalled IDM I started to get this windows on my screen ..

when I click Quarantine and look at the record I see this ...

I am wondering if its a coincidence that I started to get this warning soon after I uninstalled IDM, or is it some thing more Sinister

I am not too sure where to go from here ?

Thanks William

  • Root Admin

    Download and install CCleaner
  • CCleaner
  • right-click on the downloaded file "ccsetup234_slim.exe" and choose "Run as administrator" and install the application.
  • Keep the default installation folder "C:\Program Files\CCleaner"
  • Click finish when done and close ALL PROGRAMS including your Web Browser
  • Start the CCleaner program.
  • Click on Registry and Uncheck Registry Integrity so that it does not run (basically the very top, uncheck it)
  • Click back to Cleaner and under SYSTEM uncheck the Memory Dumps and Windows Log Files
  • Click on Run Cleaner button on the bottom right side of the program.
  • Click OK to any prompts

Note, this will remove cookies as well so if you do want to keep them then uncheck them before running it.

Then check for updates for MBAM and reboot your computer. Then let us know if you continue to get this warning.
