need help with MBR problem

Recommended Posts

Hi folks , firstly let me congratulate you guys on a first rate product .

ok to start with I had a pc running windows XP sp2 and my Nod32 started reporting a possible unidentified boot sector virus and any google search would load a banner redirecting me to win antivirus 2008 rather than where i wanted to go. after scanning with almost everything else i found my way to your product and im happy to say it did the trick, however as a final step in the process it needed to fix a couple of files on reboot. As a result i now have a potentially clean install but having logged off/ shut down, im now in a reboot cycle and unable to restart. If anyone knows a way of progressing please post

After trying a FIXMBR and "rebuild of boot.ini" attempt using the excellent tutorials at about .com http://pcsupport.about.com I was forced to do a repair installation.

for anyone interested . here is a copy of the log file
