no detection of desktop.ini

Recommended Posts

Hi. When I searched the files and folders through the search command, it told me there were six files of desktop.ini in my laptop. I have run avast scan, housecall's scan,ad aware's and even malwarebytes. None of it has picked it but it still shows there :) How is it possible and please advice me what to do. Thanks.

desktop.ini file is a windows file and is normal, it is not a malware file.

not saying that it could be used as a malicious file though, but in my C: Drive when I search for it I have found 73 for example.

If you have scanned with all the scanners you listed, then more than likely your system is clean.
