Recommended Posts

Activating the full version unlocks realtime protection, scheduled scanning, and scheduled updating. For consumers and personal use, it is a one time fee of $24.95. You can transfer your current ID & License key to your New PC after you remove it from your old one! Don't forget to save the ID & Key you got in your email

Hello malik521

The license is a Lifetime license, never needs renewing, ever :)

If I upgrade from an old to a new pc and install Mbam Pro on the new one, will activating it again cause problems?

All that would be needed is uninstall from "OLD" pc and then install on the "NEW" pc

Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent

Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.

Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. . You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask and we'll explain how to do it.

Any further questions, feel free to ask and someone will assist you :)

Thanks

I'm in the same situation... migrating from an old notebook to a new notebook. I can't seem to find the licensing agreement but I would like to know how many copies of the paid version can a user run concurrently? Say for example, can I use the same license on a desktop unit and a notebook concurrently?

Hi Bender -

Please note that one license is for one computer at any time (multi purchase discounts do apply) - It is YOURS for 1 unit for Life -

You can always fully remove it from one unit and place it on another unit if you wish to at any later date -(eg Purchase another computer) -

If IDs and Keys show up on multi units they are cancelled (several have been) -

Depending on the version you own , you would need to un/re install MBAM as per below - (Always save your ID and Key, notepad or similar to re enter) -

To Fully Remove and Reinstall a Fresh New Copy of Malwarebytes - Read Carefully

Windows XP:

  • Click on Start and select Control Panel
  • Open Add/Remove Programs
  • Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Restart your computer very important !
  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here

It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so, very important

After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here

At this point you would enter the ID and Key on the new (other) computer - If not using the Paid version you would ignore the Paid Instructions -

Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Paid version only -

Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.

Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask me and I'll explain how to do it.

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

  • Click on the Start button and select Control Panel
  • Click on Programs and Features
  • Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Restart your computer very important !
  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here

It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so, very important

After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here

Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version only

Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.

Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now reset any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications.

You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask me and I'll explain how to do it.

  • 3 years later...
Hello,

A friend tipped me off about the Pro version license, here:

In connection with this topic I started before, what happens to my license? It's still on the old pc (pc is still performing above par in Windows 7 Ultimate) will my license still be a "lifetime" one..?

Thanks.

Okay thanks for the reply. Sorry also for being late (ti's the season for being drunk eh!)

I'd like to ask in lieu of my friend who has won a Pro license sometime 2010 I think from TechGravy. I do not know about the details of her win but she wanted to ask if her license is still a lifetime one? I believe during that year there wasn't any lifetime license yet correct...?

She's not a member here and just fidgets with some promo's from tips but she has relied on Mbam since 2008 and never used any system without it :)

Will wait for your reply. Thanks :)
