Non-Existent Files Flagged - False Positive?

Malwarebytes scan detects these files as infected.

Files do not exist in location listed or on machine that I can find.

Run scan, attempt to clean, reboot and rerun scan to verfiy but files are detected again.

Nothing is detected in scan until the end when scan tool reports "Scanning Additional Items on Your System"

Could these be false positives? Something else going on?

Hi -

I'm not on the MBAM staff, but one thing I noticed is your definitions are a few versions behind. I'm showing 4401 as the current, yours is 4398. While waiting for one of the staff to respond to your query, update MBAM, and run a new /developer scan.

Did an update and same result...

This looks like some sort of security software conflict, what other software do you have installed?

Are you scanning from an admin or limited account?

nosirrah - thanks that appears to be it.. Cisco Security Agent was running. After disabling the Cisco agent mbam.exe runs clean...

Attempting to verify those results but believe that was the issue.

Any ideas why that would be the case?

Drivers are critical software as their permissions supersede even admin so installing a malware one can allow for maximum access to a system. Perhaps they have some sort of protection on the folder that conflicts with our direct read software.
