Hi. Not too sure what to do here. My friends Gateway Laptop (brand new), which definetely has sufficient enough of harddisk space, memory, processing speed ect.......won't allow Malwarebytes to run properly. It is also Vista updated completely via the Microsoft Site.

Malwarebytes is definetely up to the latest version as it was just installed a week ago and have done datebase updates. 1.25 is the version.

When you run a full scan, it just eventually stops and freezes. We tried it in SAFE mode and it worked great, but than a few days later we tried it again in SAFE mode and it just stopped and froze. Sometimes you can end the task and other times you can't even do that and have to power down the machine.

I run malwarebytes on my dell xp laptop and don't have any problems at all.

I did see some random freezing problems noted in earlier versions, but she is on the latest version.

I have tried looking around on the forums and googling around, but having no luck.

bummer, she doesn't have zone alarm. She said it looked like it was getting stuck on one file. I'm not sure if I want to spend the time trying to figure this out. I was hoping someone might know why malwarebytes won't run. I may end up having to remove it on her machine. I run it though and won't be removing it off of my machine.
