Is Malwarebytes Anti Malware for viruses too?

Recommended Posts

This may be a dumb question for those tech-savvy people, so I apologize in advance for my ignorance.

I used to run AVG anti virus and Malwarebytes Anti Malware (of which I bought the full version) and decided to delete AVG because I didn't want them to conflict. Did I do the right thing or should I run both of them simultaneously? I was pretty sure Malware included viruses, but just double checking....

Any help will be MUCH MUCH appreciated ;)

Thanks!

Hello.

MalwareBytes is not designed to protect you against actual viruses, no. It gets along just fine with most antivirus products currently available. It's advised to have an antivirus program as well as malwarebytes.
