Are you using an antivirus? With no antivirus means you are more prone to malware.

Hi Buttons :)

My antivirus is MBAM Pro and my PC is always clean ;)

On demand i scan with Hitman Pro,im testing MBAM on malware

( from this sites MDL and Malc0de )

and MBAM almost always ( 99%) stop the bad guys :)

MBAM Pro is Great

Do you know any sites where i can test some new " Bad Guys " ?

Have a nice Day

Malwarebytes is great its one of the best but Malwarebytes is not an anti-virus its meant to be a supplement to your AV you still need an up to date AV :)

Mbam is not an antivirus. It is a complementary program for your existing security. MDL and malwaredomains.com are good.:)

hmmm, a person who knows MBAM and hitman pro and tests malware all the time, thinks that MBAM is a anti-virus?

that is unbelievable to me, since using simple common sense, this guy should be able to figure its not a anti-virus, even if u dont know the product.

Here are some:

1. MBAM is called Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware NOT Malwarebytes' Anti-Virus.

2. MBAM pro ain't registered in Security Center.

3. MBAM compared to a typical anti-virus, doesn't have alot of features and is very simple.

1.Malware

2. So what .....

3 Layered defense

Mbam Pro + Defensewall 3 version with Firewall ( Amazing App look at the tests) + Hitman Pro + Secure DNS like Clear Cloud or Norton DNS

Earlier i was using only Defensewall 3 ( version with Firewall ) and got 0 Infection , im happy with my seciurity setup :)

Every file that i download i scan with MBAM Pro and Hitman Pro

hitmapro is just a scanner, and only scans the critical areas unless if u force it to scan your whole hard drive which will take a long time.

and think about it, some malware cant kill your pc right when you run it.

ur anti-virus would lock the file until u make a dicision... but it seems to be you have no anti-virus.

and although MBAM kinda does that, ive ran into some files although MBAM detects as a malware on a scan, but doesnt block on run.

  • 2 weeks later...

You can scan with Hitman Pro without interent by using EWS (Early Warning Scoring).

Neither catches everything so I use both. Hitman Pro has many great things that MBAM doesn't. Abiltiy to replace infected Windows files, Force Breach Mode, etc. It scores better in MRG tests too.
