cant use task manager

So what's the verdict here? Do you want to continue to try to fix the system or do you have the Restore CD and are you going to try to do a restore?

I was actually thinking do a full restore-I was going to use the recovery cd creator,but I need 5 more discs.

if we can try to continue to fix the problem I'd rather do that

p.s. what you suggested in your 2nd to last post- I could'nt do it

Okay, so what state is the computer currently in? You stated that the installation of SP3 was problematic.

Is the computer able to start and get into Windows and the Desktop, etc... ?

Please just give me a small update on your current situation so that I know how best to help you.

SOrry for not getting back at you sooner.(it wasnt possible) I've decided to come up with 5 more discs, run the recovery cd creator and try a full system recovery.

Okay, just remember the FULL will DELETE EVERYTHING on the Computer so if you want anything like mail or pictures or videos etc you better have a backup of all that data.
