unable to update Malwarebytes database with Limited login

I am unable to get database updates for Malwarebytes ver 1.46 when using a Limited log in to WinXP. The Check for updates button is grayed out when using a Limited log in. (Updates work fine when I log in as Administrator.)

I understand that software updates require Administrator login, but most protection softwares allow database updates to be done using Limited login.

Is this the normal way that Malwarebytes is supposed to work, or a bug in ver 1.46, or a problem with my installation?

Unless I am mistaken....

If you have the Pro (ie full version), login as an admin, and then schedule the updates while you are logged in as the admin. This will then do the updates no matter who is logged in.

Once you register your full version make sure you schedule your program for automatic updates and scans.....
