Overall slowdown, expecting it to be malware. (HijackThis Log included)

Recommended Posts

Just recently my computer has been starting to act up.

Whenever I boot up my computer and it gets to the desktop, after about 15 seconds it freezes. I constantly either have to use task manager to stop big processes (sadly my anti-virus) or constantly schedule check disks, which always ends up draining time away from my gaming.

I followed this routine every time I restart my computer, after I get the network icon to show up in my taskbar, I'm able to re-open the anti-virus.

Recently my computer, in general, has been slowing down heavily. I seem to now have a dial-up connection's speed rather than a DSL, which I have. Also, my games ALWAYS lag to the point where I can't do just about anything.

My Mozilla Firefox is slow as well... It's what led me to believe my internet was suffering from this seeming-to-be rootkit/worm.

I've been here before actually, and the help you guys gave was excellent. I seem to be prone to these troubles because I'm always interested in getting new games to play...

I believe It may of been caused by a local grocer's contest site. They're holding a promotion, and apparently WOT doesn't like the site the ticket gives me.

I need some quick assistance before my computer totals... I've been through that 3 times and I'm not gonna go through it again... x.x

If you need any other info let me know.

EDIT:

Here's a hijackthis log for more details, I know it would of been asked for anyway. x.x
