Can't get onto internet

Recommended Posts

After a bit more checking found that the ndis.sys file was missing from system32/drivers file. All network hardware has a error 39 code and have a yellow circle round them.

Tried replacing the ndis.sys file with a clean one from another computer but just causes a blue screen.

is there any hope or do I need to reformat the hard drive.

Thanks

Hi,

Download OTL to your Desktop

  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  • Click the button that says None.
  • Under the Custom Scan box paste this in
    /md5start
    ndis.sys
    /md5stop
  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
    • When the scan completes, it will open a notepad windows. OTL.Txt. This is saved in the same location as OTL.
    • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of this file
