It driving me NUTS :) I really appreciate if you'd help me to fix this.

This problems occurred after my PC shutdown twice unexpectedly yesterday caused bad power supply. See below.

I have 2 DISK.

DISK 1 : C:/ & E:/ 40GB

DISK 2 : D:/ (system) , F:/ & G:/ 80GB.

Now F:/ & G:/ become corrupt and unusable as shown but data still can open from there.

Run CHKDSK didn't fix it.

what am I suppose to do now ?

thank

Okay, same thing basically - run this.

Please try running the following.

First close ALL Applications as this routine will automatically restart your computer.

Click on START - RUN and copy / paste the following entry into the box and click OK

CMD /C ECHO Y|CHKDSK F: /R

Click on START - RUN and copy / paste the following entry into the box and click OK

CMD /C ECHO Y|CHKDSK G: /R

Click on START - RUN and copy / paste the following entry into the box and click OK

CMD /C ECHO Y|CHKDSK D: /R | SHUTDOWN /R /T 30

Try booting up with the CD into the recovery console. At the DOS prompt type

CHKDSK drivename /R

Example:

CHKDSK D: /R

CHKDSK F: /R

CHKDSK G: /R

That should have full access to the drive and be able to check it a little better.

It is discussed in that KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058

The basics to launch the Recovery Console from CD are here: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/ss/rconsole.htm

Then it will put you into a DOS console and from there you would type those lines one by one finished with the ENTER key after each.

CHKDSK D: /R {then press the ENTER key}

Let chkdsk run

CHKDSK F: /R {then press the ENTER key}

Let chkdsk run

CHKDSK G: /R {then press the ENTER key}

Let chkdsk run
