Please uninstall Malwarebytes via Add or Remove Programs applet.

Reboot the system. <<<<--crucial step

Then run this clean up tool and allow a reboot when prompted. If this tool displays an error, continue on with reinstall please.

From memory you have XP installed - After you finish the instructions from TeMerc please check this -

If this is right then error code 18 means to check your drivers -

Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device manager and see if any of the items have a question mark or similar next to them -

It has come back on it's own!! Dont know what that was about

I did go into control panel but no faults showing up.perhaps it was having a Sunday lie in lol.
