Infection detected even after removal

I recently used Malwarebytes to remove some malware from my father's computer yet it still detects the exact same Trojan.BHO.H every single scan. It also detects this "infection" within a second of starting the scan. The thing is the BHO was removed previously, I'm sure of it. The path that Malwarebytes returns for the infection doesn't even exist anymore, as it was nothing but some coupon BHO that was messing things up. Why does it continue to find this infection when not only the file is gone but so is the directory where it was? And it's not hidden as it isn't even found by running dir in the command line. The OS is Windows 7, by the way.
