Can malwarebytes co-exist with a anti virus program?

I am using malwarebytes (paid version) and would like to install a anti virus program (avast). Will there be any problems with each running?

I haven't heard much about that, but as a preventive measure, I will add some MBAM files to exculsion list of antivirus. Please see Section H of the Common Issues, Questions, and their Solutions topic for details.

how do u do it with bitdefender?!?

Double click your icon by the clock to open you main form. Click the word settings down in the bottom right hand corner, It should by default be on anti virus, if not, click on it. Move over to the exceptions tab across the top, and click the plus sign to add the program that you think is safe.

You can either choose the entire folder its in, or just the specific file.

This may be outdated:

Open BitDefender. Select Antivirus > Shield.

Click Custom Level.

Extend Exclude Path From Scan (applied to ALL LEVELS) and click New Item.

Then add file paths for your OS
