As a newbie to any type of malware intrusion I do thank you for your valiant attempts to help me with this major problem of financial links being hijacked. Following your instructions, the first road block was with the defogger. Continuing one the next roadblock was being unable to download the gmer. Error message said it couldnt be found. I'm not sure I understood the directions on how to send the logs and apologize for not doing it correctly. In the meantime I was able to download gmer with a copy and paste method, but during the scan process windows had to shut down and dump a lot of stuff. The log file requested from that scan did not materialize. That's where I was today when a live computer technician came and disabled a unsa/cafoe.exe file which, at least for now, made the offensive screens asking for personal information disappear. I'm not sure if this is a total fix, but did want to thank you for your help.
