Windows won't boot after Security Master AV removal

Hi, I have a pc that was infected with security master av. After installing mbam it could not get updates but I ran the quick scan anyway and it found like 600 infected items, then I clicked remove selected and it removed what it needed and rebooted. After the reboot chdsk ran and it was recovering orphaned files for about a half an hour then it finished and tried to boot it gave me an error

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}

The session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of

0xc000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000)

I looked up this error and found that it might be win32k.sys so I copied it from a boot cd that I have and now when windows boots it just comes up to a black screen and there is no hard drive activity.

I'm hoping that I don't have to reinstall windows, I just want to get windows running so I can post in the malware removal forums.

Any help?
