syncman detected, removed but laptop crashed always reboot til xp logo

Recommended Posts

hi guys,

i just updated my malwarebytes to 1.45

having noticed my Avira always alert for common .exe programs in windows, i scanned my laptop using malwarebytes 1.45.

then MB detected syncman, then i removed it together for some disabled notify update configurations

after reboot, my system i think crashed or corrupted due to missing user32.dll and always reboot after windows xp logo only

am trying to repair using win xp, hoping this works

if you have any suggestion please help

thanks

hi guys,

Windows XP Reboot Problem

=========================

History:

1.

i use AVIRA ANTIVIRUS and one time it detected .EXE FILES and always ALERTS but its part of the SYSTEM.

(i think there was a virus present)

2.

NEW LOGIN using the XP PRO LOGIN DIALOG BOX

DISPLAYS the BACKGROUND SCREEN ONLY, so i had to use TASKMANAGER to open EXPLORER.

3.

i tried to IGNORE ALERTS and use SYSTEM RESTORE

4.

SOLVED the Problem

5.

NEXT, after 2 days, i tried to update MALWAREBYTES to 1.46

- it scanned

- detected -SYNCMAN (somewhere in c:\windows\system32\...\syncman) (1)

- detected -disable update notify (3)

- i removed them all 4 (i thought the disable update notify can be configured later on)

- restarted

- THE PROBLEM STARTED

6.

NOW, only WIN XP PRO LOGO appears and then a flash of "this application has failed to start because user32.dll was not found"

(BLUE SCREEN in milisecond) then REBOOTS routinely

7.

STEPS I TRIED

i try to ACCESS SAFE MODE but it only STOPS UNTIL "MUP.SYS"

and ASKED to ENTER for "SPTD.SYS" (so i entered but NO Progress)

8.

I tried to us Recovery Console File or an XP sample Installer using USB and CD.

"NO OPERATING SYSTEM"

9.

so i might try to BUY NEW XP CD or borrow to TEST if it works (so that i can use Recovery Console)

10.

will wait for other SOLUTIONS.

My SPECS

========

WIN XP PRO GENUINE SP3

Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile

120gb (c: 60gb, d: 60gb)

RAM 1g

Please Help

Thanks.
