Could registry infected

Recommended Posts

My Firefox browser on my laptop ( XP) started acting funny yesterday, freezing up & not opening. Today same thing & also happening with IE. Neither are responding. Outlook also was hanging. I am scared that there is something malicious going on.

Running a full scan since last night, it running over 14 hours now. Showing no infections so far. Yesterday scan was OK. Did notice a quarantine on the July 6th. Some virus in the registry key.

Could it have done damage?

What to do? Thanks!

Wow! 14 hours!?!? :) I'm not actually sure what to say... :) but could you add a little more detail?
