confused about keylogger detection

hello. I am running NIS2010 real time and TH,MBAM, and SAS all on demand weekly. Recently I ran a keylogger test program by a company called Zumana (spelling?) The program ran undetected. I called symantec and they said this is normal op. Would MBAM catch these types of things? If not, a recommendation on what to add would be welcome. Thanks

If it is a legitimate key logger then we will not detect and remove it. It is quite legal in most situations to use one depending on circumstances.

We only detect key loggers that are not from an established legitimate source.

Kaspersky uses behavioral detection and I don't think they whitelist such apps, legitimate or not, so it would likely detect it, it even detects my games and mouse drivers since they intercept user input, which is essentially how a keylogger works.
