Windows Issues - Problems Breed More Problems

Greetings Malwarebytes Staff,

I run a Windows Vista 32-bit OS on a Toshiba Satellite A305-S6872.

About half a year ago I created this account due to some issues I was having with a virus that had infested my autorun.ini file and consequently began eating my hard drive every time I booted the machine. After some time we managed to resolve the issue, but now there seem to be some lasting scars on the machine that haven't been too problematic until recently.

Recently I tried installing a World of Warcraft game update but had some issues develop that required me to go into safe mode if I am to resolve said issues. Unfortunately I cannot access safe mode on this machine. When trying to load safe-mode my machine hangs itself after loading up the crcdisk.sys driver and consequently I cannot access any variety of safe-mode. This is highly problematic because all other avenues for resolving the update issue have effectively closed upon themselves.

Aside this issue, which is actually in many respects the most problematic, upon load up my machine mentions having some driver that needs repair or wasn't installed properly.

Any and all information you could provide in helping me resolve this issue would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

~Trav

Okay that's very good as it may be required to help fix your system. Please go ahead and follow the directions previously posted and have someone assist you with checking for and removing any Malware. If that corrects the issue that's good, if not then come back here and we'll try some other options to fix it.
