Firefox occassional redirect, slow PC

Hi,

Intermittently Firefox gets redirected to sites like shopcompareus.com and others like that. McAfee has come up clean. The computer also runs painfully slow at times. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for any help & suggestions.
