Can't run malwarebytes free version

Hi can anyone help me I'm trying to download malwarebytes free version but I get two errors pop up on downloading which also occur when I try to scan which doesn't let me run the program.

MBAM_ERROR_FIL E(3,0)mabamswissarmy.sys & MBAM_ERROR_EXPANDING_VARIABLES(0,9) I'm running avast antivirus but wanted to use this as a backup

Please use the method below to remove any traces of Malwarebytes that you may have left on your computer and do a fresh install -

As you have not listed your Operating System I have listed both to cover all systems -

To Fully Remove and Reinstall a Fresh New Copy of Malwarebytes - Read Carefully

Windows XP:

• Click on Start and select Control Panel
  
• Open Add/Remove Programs
  
• Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  
• Restart your computer very important !
  
• Download and run mbam-clean.exe from Here
  

It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so, very important

After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

• Click on the Start button and select Control Panel
  
• Click on Programs and Features
  
• Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  
• Restart your computer very important !
  
• Download and run mbam-clean.exe from Here
