Search Engine Redirector

My XP Pro system has been infected with a particularly onerous bit of malware.

I thought I was making progress and had it licked, but it's back with a vengence.

Search engine results are redirected about 80% of the time and access to anti-malware sites is blocked.

AVG AntiVirus was not detecting any malware. By downloading MalwareBytes AntiMalware and the most current updates on another computer and was able to install it and it found a DNS redirector which it claims was cleaned/removed. After its removal, I was able to download Spybot Search & Destroy and updates on the affected computer, which I was not able to do before the DNS redirector was removed.

Within an hour my search engine results began being redirected again.
