Hi guys

New to the forum so apols if i repeat questions that have already been posted. After my sisters website suddenly had a message on Google yesterday that read "this site may harm your computer" it appeared someone had managed to infect it with nasties (certainly not her). Clueless as to the hows and why's someone would do this she searched for answers to how to clean her site. To cut a longer story slightly shorter she read reviews of Microsoft essentials and downloaded and is hopefully on the way to getting her site restored minus the visitor repelling message! I began searching myself last night for malware and antivirus software and read excellent reviews on Malwarebytes.

My aging PC has a tendency to crash now and again - sometimes daily and it seems to happen when i visit Yahoo. I use Norton antivirus 2005 which came with the PC with firewall enabled though the subscription ran out quite a while ago so i don't get live updates. After the PC crashes i'm usually taken to Microsofts web after reporting the problem where Symantic (yes i know it's Norton) is cited as a problem. So what i would like to know is should i continue with the expired software i have and use with Malwarebytes (haven't d/loaded it yet) or do you guys recommend other better suited software to work alongside? MaNY THANKS for any useful input :welcome:
