Hello nathaniel -

Without any specifics (even your Operating System) it is always a vague area to diagnose -

There may always be errors in your system that our experts can review and repair (if you wish), just follow these instructions -

As we don't work on Malware removal or diagnostics in the general forums please follow these directions -

Please print out, read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.

After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post - Please allow at least 48 hours for a reply as the experts can get busy at times -

Also add a brief note to the experts as to your problems -

Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org

Always use the ADD REPLY Tab at the bottom of the page when you reply -

Thank You - :P

Hello nathaniel,

Just a note that please do not post any replies in the Malware removal - HiJackThis forum unless you are the topic starter or authorized people/ experts (and you aren't in both of the situation in those replies).

In addition, do you think is it something happen after you got (or suspectd to have) malware on your system? If so, please follow what noknojon has stated in his last post. If not, please tell us more the details (eg the operating system, hardware and software configuration, the error code when you see your Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)) so that we know more about your situation.

You may want to show your hardware and software configuration at your signature for easier reference.

Thanks :P

Hi nathaniel -

Please check your system first by following these instructions -

Run a Disk Check on your C: drive in Windows XP:

  • Click Start and open My Computer
  • Right-click on C: and select Properties
  • Click on the Tools tab
  • Under Error-checking click the Check Now... button
  • Mark the box next to Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors
  • When the message box pops up, click the Schedule disk check button and restart your computer
  • Once your computer restarts it will check the drive, don't press any keys so that it is allowed to do so

Thank You - :P
