I would run a quick scan with malwarebytes and also a scan with my anti-virus software first....

could be a false positive from norton security scan....

Do you have avast! V5 and Norton Security.

I use avast! and c:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\defs is there.

You can not run two anti virus applications at the same time.

You could go to My Controls then Edit Signature in Personal Profile to add your system information in your signature so that the helpers can offer pertinent advice.

@ YoKenny1, it may be possible that the Norton Security Scan could be the little tool that gets installed with Java sometimes..... but not sure?

Norton Security Scan is not a full anti-virus software package....

If you have Avast v5 and Malwarebytes fully updated you should be fine with that.

You can safely uninstall Norton Security Scan....

I do not use a2 as it has too many false positives.

I do not need Norton Security Scan as avast! and MBAM have detection and protection enough for me.

Symantec does not like competition and wants every other anti virus application removed as it wants to be the only anti virus application on everyone's system.

I am not sure if you fully understand all this -

You only need MBAM and Avast V5 - You can safely remove all the other Anti Virus programs -

The A2 program and your Norton program can now be removed safely -

Symantic (Norton) and Avast V5 (Alwil) do not like each other - Remove one of them - Also remove A2 - A2 will never run while you have the other two Anti Virus programs running it will only run if all other Antivirus are disabled or removed -
