It'd be nice. could you add a password query feature to prevent unauthorized to turn on /off Protection module or website blocking via tray icon ? so MBAM GUI will be protected by PASSWORD.

I think this is a good idea, McAfee Corp Edition has this feature and I love it. It prevents anything from turning off my protection without a password supplied.

I believe this is planned but I do not know when it will be implemented. I've passed your suggestion on to the developers to keep it fresh in their minds and let them know that others think it's a good idea .

it will make MBAM as the first anti malware that have that feature.

I think that would be a great feature and I'd love to see something like that put in place as well. I can imagine there must have been some frustration in the past for McAfee to generate said solution, I look forward to seeing where this suggestion goes!

I would LOVE to see this feature!

As a SOHO computer support person, I install Malwarbytes all the time for my clients.

It's very frustrating when I've successfully cleaned a home computer System for a client, and paid for MalwareBytes for Protection Mode, but then some kid in the house just disables MalwareBytes.

And another infection follows soon after . . .

I suppose a password would also be required to Uninstall MalwarBytes.

I hope you can include the password feature soon!

My personal opinion is instead of password protection it is much better to implement LUA, however, a mechanism like Self Defense would be good though

I agree. A lot of security programs have this like Norton Internet Security and Comodo Internet Security. Would definitely help. Even better would be to suppress the alerts like Comodo does and decide what to do based on the event/threat with less user interaction.
