Malwarebytes has successfully removed a load of malware from my computer but cannot shift "Windows.Tool.Disabled".

I found a post in the forum from Nameless10 in January but do not understand how they fixed it, they said:

"Disregards that I fixed it myself. Scanned first, jumped to location, manually deleted than clicked remove"

Can someone explain the "jumped to location" part?

Secondly, does anyone know what the windows.tool.disables does? My computer is occasionally sending out spam mails to everyone in my address book from my hotmail account, I believe my computer is clean apart from this one problem so assume that must be the cause.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice and sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. I have tried the link but receive an error saying that it cannot be found on the server. Are you able to tell me if the link is still valid?

Regards,

Richard Smith

Hi,

Thanks for the help, I ended up getting help from the help desk and Tom Mercado very quickly found that my version of Malwarebytes was way out of date, by updating it and scanning the file has been removed and all is well again.

There's a moral in there somewhere.

Thanks to eveyone for their support.
