MBAM found Backdoor critter but can't delete...Help.

Files Infected:

C:\System Volume Information\_restore{6A9D1C58-9045-4876-A1DF-3D9CCD936737}\RP54\A0029218.exe (Backdoor.RBot) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

I tried deleting and then restarting computer, but it is still quarantined. How can I successfully remove it?

Hello sirzune,

Except you perform a system restore to the point contained that backdoor, it is more likely it is safe as the backdoor is inactive. You can still use the computer without problems. But if you have a concern on this, and you think you won't need the past system restore points (so that means you cannot go back to the past working states when problems exist), then you can clean the system points at the following guide at bleeping computer:

Thank you for your reply. I may have solved the issue with starting up in Safe Mode. The bug was removed successfully, so it stated. When I started up again and checked the quarantine it was gone. I guess I should perform another full scan to make sure, right?

Have you done the next Full Scan yet -

You can Copy and Paste the scan here and if it is now clean I think you should be OK - You deleted the item so just Re scan -

Do not use System Restore to try to remove any infection - Just Scans -
