The Petabyte

I was reading about Google's history on Wikipedia just now and I had no idea what a petabyte was when it was mentioned, so I followed the link in the article and here it is:

I didn't know there was anything larger than a terabyte honestly, hehe, so I thought that I would share!

Don't forget about the Googolbyte.

A Googolbyte is 100,000,000,000,000,000,000 times bigger than a Yottabyte. :P

To be listened to with Carl Sagan - 'A Glorious Dawn' ft Stephen Hawking (Symphony of Science)

Yeah, but Googol is a number, not a SI-prefix, but if u wanna play that way: Googolplex is 10^(10^100) :)

Googolplexbyte is biggest then?

A bit of trivia on a "Zip Bomb".

One example of a Zip bomb was the file "42.zip" which was 42 kilobytes of compressed data, containing six layers of nested zip files in sets of 16, each bottom layer archive containing a 4.2 gigabyte file for a total of 4.5 petabytes of uncompressed data.

And no, I've never fully decompressed my sample. LOL
