How do I reinstall without having to repurchase???

Recommended Posts

I purchased the full version about 3 months ago, and still have my registration email.

I've been having BSOD issues with my brand-f'ing-new computer, and was advised by geekstogo to check for viruses (I'm running Malwarebyes, Avast and Comodo firewall).

I wanted to make sure Malware byete was upto day, so I clicked update.

Then I got an error that It couldn't overwrite a file that didn't exist (oops, didn't copy the message).

Then it promoted me to reboot.

THen it wouldn't run at all. So I un installed antimalware, and tried to redownload, but the only options are the free or to pay for another. How the !@$!@#%$! do I download another copy and reuse my reg code I paid money for???

(Sorry for the frustration, but I"m about 3 seconds from throwing my new $1300 computer into the wall...)

Hi -

These directions will fully remove and then install a Full new copy of the program -

Directions are included on reinstating your Registration - Also make sure you have the latest Avast V5 version updated -

If you still have problems we can then look at Malware infections -

To Fully Remove and Reinstall a Fresh New Copy of Malwarebytes - Select Your Operating System - Read Carefully

Windows XP:

  • Click on Start and select Control Panel
  • Open Add/Remove Programs
  • Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Restart your computer very important !
  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here

It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so, very important

After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and Firewall and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here

Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version only -

Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.

Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask me and I'll explain how to do it.

Hi Prosperous One,

The free version is the paid version. Download and install it, then click on register near the windows bottom. Also I advice not using Avast 5 anymore. Too many issues with the latest and not good as it once was. I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials for a free one.
